A sophisticated urban retreat in a historic and industrial manufacturing building.  Working within a framework of high-contrast textures, we approached the design by embracing refined eclecticism, prioritizing artisanal materiality and embracing vertical scale. By utilizing hand painted wall coverings to reflect the copper and zinc industrial windows, the history of the building remains relevant.  A sanctuary that is intended to accommodate both the vibrant pulse of city life and the stillness of a private escape. The Industrial Pied-à-Terre is a place where the art-filled interior is balanced by the familiar water towers and steel backdrop.
