Vermont Modern Farmhouse
North Ferrisburgh, Vermont
A rejuvenation of agrarian architecture, set against the pastoral backdrop of a working farm. The project was guided by the belief that a modern farmhouse should bridge the gap between the utilitarian roots of a working farm and the refined clarity of contemporary design. Working within sun-drenched volumes, we prioritized artisanal craftsmanship in harmonious connection to the outdoors. By utilizing a monochrome palette and expansive glazing, the residence captures the expansive light of the Vermont valley, while warm oak timbering and Mid-century silhouettes provide a counterpoint to the home's lofty proportions. A communal sanctuary that honors the ritual of gathering and the quiet beauty of the everyday.
