MIKA’S STORY

01

Mika’s design perspective is a tapestry woven from a life lived internationally. Having raised four children alongside her college sweetheart in Manhattan, London, and Greenwich, she eventually returned to her roots in the Green Mountains of Vermont. It was during her years in England that her design sensibility was first truly awakened. Wandering the estates of the British countryside, she became captivated by the layers of history held within stone walls—the way a centuries-old textile could coexist with modern life, and how a home could feel both grand and intimately personal.

It was this appreciation for living history that led to her most personal triumph: the renovation of her own Vermont farmhouse. The project, a masterclass in texture and soul, established her reputation for creating spaces that are as high-functioning as they are high-aesthetic. Today, clients frequently seek out Mika to translate that specific Stoneledge look—the perfect intersection of deep-seated coziness, effortless livability, and enduring beauty—into their own homes.

In the Winter of 2025, Mika opened a second Stoneledge office in the heart of New York’s Garment District. This expansion marks a deliberate bridge between her two worlds. While the Vermont farm provides the working grit and the quiet headspace required for deep creativity, the Manhattan studio pulses with the energy of the city’s architectural history and its proximity to the world's finest makers. By anchoring herself in both the pastoral serenity of Vermont and the industrial vibrancy of the Garment District, Mika ensures that Stoneledge remains uniquely positioned to serve clients who, like her, crave a life that is both grounded in nature and enhanced by global perspective.
